What an all-in-one workspace really means for your work.
Isn't one tool worse at each job than a dedicated app?

Each surface is a real editor, not a stub. LaTeX compiles with Tectonic and previews live as you type, with SyncTeX jumps and a review panel. Deep Research uses a published academic-source registry, while bibliography tools resolve citation identities from records such as DOI and arXiv IDs. Whether a source supports a claim is a separate evidence check.

Can I keep my files and references?

Yes. Kosmico works in open formats including LaTeX, BibTeX, Jupyter, Markdown, and Word, and you can export your work. Local files, synchronized projects, cloud inference, and local inference have distinct data flows documented on the How Kosmo works page.

Is the collaboration really real-time?

Yes. Edits sync live between everyone on a project, with owner, editor, and viewer roles. You choose exactly what to share, down to keeping a folder off the sync entirely.

Does it replace my reference manager?

For most projects, yes. Your whole bibliography lives in one place, pulled from real sources. Fetch an entry from a DOI or arXiv ID, catch duplicates and missing fields at a glance, and let the agent check every citation against a real reference.

Does the AI actually see my whole project?

Mention @kosmo and it selects relevant context from your project papers, files, data, graph, and recent work. The current managed and local model catalogue is published on the How Kosmo works page; an explicit model choice stays pinned, while Recommended follows the managed default.
