How does the team ask for help?

From the dashboard of any Lab project, a researcher presses Ask the PI and sends a review request or a blocker, with a deadline and the file to look at. It reaches your dashboard, and your answer comes back to the same widget, kept apart from the project chat.

Reviews

Can I review without opening the project?

Open the request and the attached file opens beside it, read-only: a LaTeX paper compiled, or its source. Ask MetaKosmo what needs your attention, then mark the request reviewed or ask for changes with a note. The researcher sees your answer in the project and can resubmit.

Access and budget

Who sees what, and who spends what?

Joining the Lab doesn’t open every project. You make each person an editor or a viewer, project by project, name who leads it, and decide who may create projects, manage assignments or invite guests. AI comes from one budget: each researcher gets a share, and usage shows by project and by person.
Access is set per project; the AI budget is shared out per researcher.

Plans

One price for the PI, then per researcher.

The Lab plan includes the PI. Add researcher seats as people join; added seats are prorated for the rest of the billing period.

What PIs ask before they start.

What is the difference between a Lab and a project?

A project is where the research happens: files, literature, analysis, writing and the team’s chat. A Lab gathers a group’s projects and researchers under one PI, with the dashboard, the requests and the access rules on top.

Who can read the requests sent to the PI?

The researcher who sent it, the PI and the project’s collaborators. Requests and replies stay in the project’s request list, separate from the project chat.

Does MetaKosmo change anything on its own?

Not by default. It turns decisions into proposals with their evidence and waits for you to confirm; you can switch a conversation to act without confirmation. Its chats are private to you and it reads only the projects in your Lab. Its answers still need your judgment.

Can we bring in the projects we already have?

Yes. Personal projects can move into the Lab, and back, after a check of access and project quota.

What happens if the subscription stops?

The Lab keeps its projects, files and members. Cloud editing and Lab collaboration pause until you reactivate the plan.
